IATSE District One

Welcome to District One, representing IATSE locals in the Northwest
corner of the United States. Below you will find links to each of the
locals in District One. On the other pages of this site are news and
safety items from the District Secretary, as well and links to the

The International has launched a new education program they are calling the Labor Education Assistance Program (LEAP). The District will be holding a one day training opportunity May 8th from 10am -4:30pm, in Portland, that will include two presentations by the International covering specific topics and problems of representing Labor. In addition there will be information on Labor Education opportunities in the North West, and a presentation by the Western Washington Theatrical Training Trust. The training will be free to Executive Board members of the District One locals. Registration information will be sent to locals in March.

The International is urging all locals to contact their elected representatives and voice support for health care reform. You can find up to date information regarding the legislation at the AFL-CIO website and through the Kaiser Foundation.
